VIETNAM: VOMedical Report from the Field

11 May 2023

In rural areas of Vietnam, local authorities view Christianity as a foreign threat and often use discrimination, intimidation, property destruction, detentions, beatings and forced renunciations of faith to halt church growth. Several Christians have died while being tortured for their faith. Alongside persecution from the authorities, these believers also face discrimination from their communities. Often, Christians are prohibited from accessing their community’s water supply, their children are expelled from school, and they are forced from their homes and land. Through our VOMedical fund, those who have been beaten and require medical attention can receive the treatment they need.
